For a rough estimate of cost; (example using 2" wide collar, with 1" solid brass spikes and solid brass spots)
Take your dog's neck measurement - say 20" - 1" for the first hole (I punch 3 holes - 1 down/exact/1 up) - 4" for buckle -1" on either side of pattern.
Total useable inches for 20" long collar = 13".
Spikes are placed every inch; spots fit in between -
Total spikes used would be 13 x $1.25 x 2 (pattern is top & bottom of collar) + 12 buttons.
Cost so far is; $45.00 + $32.50 + $12.00 + shipping (usually $10.00)

Of course this is completely custom and the pattern can be tightened up (a bit) and lengthened; to change the cost.
